This is the clearest indication that President Trump’s “America First” trade initiative is not having the intended effect.
The current US annual trade deficit is $621 bullion indicating that we imported over a half a trillion worth of goods more than we sold.
We have current trade imbalance growth at more than 12% per year which will put the annual trade deficit at over a trillion dollars within the next 5 years.
